**NOTE UPDATED SERVICE TIMES: 9:30am and 11:15am**

The in-person weekend services are amazing!  Even though we aren’t 100% “back to normal” yet, it is awesome to be slowly stepping towards all being back together for weekend worship services!  The biggest obstacle is trying to maintain our social distancing as Gov. Abbott is still asking us to do.  So right now, it’s impossible for us to have kid’s ministry, donuts or our normal seating with 350-400 chairs.  (By the way – it’s really helpful for us if you register to “save a seat” and let us know which service you are coming to Click here to save your seat).  Unfortunately, we are also having to “clear the building” pretty quickly after the 9:30 service is over to allow time to completely sanitize everything before the 11:15 service starts – so that stinks.  BUT – we are getting closer, and that is great news!  We have removed the age restrictions, and we want everyone who is symptom-free and comfortable with coming to join us.  Masks are optional and we aren’t taking temperatures – we are definitely getting there!  So, we’d love to have you join us!  If worship at home is a better option for you right now, of course, we understand that – I’m just thankful that we are able to stream our services.  Our team is working hard to tweak and improve that experience in spite of new technology, new gear, lightning damage, and satan’s obvious opposition.  The last couple of weeks, our 9:30 stream has been a problem; however, we think we’ll have it resolved by this weekend!  If something DOES go wrong, the good news is we HAVE been able to stream the 11:15 service without many issues.  Thanks for your patience!

Last week we opened up our minds, hearts and God’s word to look at a difficult subject – Racism.  This week we will continue the conversation.  Please pray for what Jesus prayed for – love and unity.  Also, pray that I will keep my opinions out, and let God speak; and that our people will listen with open minds, and hearts to the Word of our God, whether they agree with me or not.  If solutions are to be found, it will require us listening – and not just listening-while-we-prepare-our-rebuttals.  Intentionally listening to what God may want to say to each of us.

As you may know, our lifegroups are now also able to meet in person – even on campus.  Maybe it’s time for you to reconnect with your group.  Our ironmen group started back in-person this past week.  While ZOOM has been cool, it was GREAT being together in—person.  Men, we’d love to have you join us in the sanctuary Wednesdays at 6:30!   If you’re going to be using a room at church, get in touch with Dana at aa@mycbcb.com or call her at (830) 228-5654 to let her know which room you would like to meet in and then contact Shane Aldrich our Director of Life Groups at lifegroups@mycbcb.com to let him know what your group is planning.

Women stay tuned for a new video coming out this week to update you on what’s new and amazing in our MyCBCB Women’s Ministry!

There’s still time to pick up a Children’s Hunger Fund “Food Pak”!  If you would like to pick one up, they are available in the lobby this Thursday (10:00-4:00) or Sunday morning.  Inside each box is a “shopping list” of 20 items.  All you need to do is go get those items, place them in the box and return the box UNSEALED next Sunday or Thursday.  The deadline is quickly approaching.  This is an incredibly easy way to be the “hands and feet of Jesus”!

Moms!!!  If you have a newborn through kindergarten age child – it’s not too late to join our fall MyCBCB MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) program.  We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month.  “We believe in the simple idea that remarkable things can happen when moms meet together, face to face.”  Meet us for coffee, brunch, fellowship and so much more with other moms just like yourself!  Our meetings will begin in September and childcare is available.  If you’d like to be a part of this amazing group of moms, contact Maggie Steitler at maggiesteitler@yahoo.com for more information or to register for your spot today!
