We all go through tough times—but we were never meant to go through them alone. Everyone needs accountability, friendship, and help in tough times. Everyone needs someone praying with them, and for them. Everyone needs people to laugh and enjoy life with. Everyone needs a LifeGroup.

A LifeGroup is a small group of at least three people who meet regularly to study the Word, encourage each other, pray for each other, minister or do hobbies together, and have fun. At CBCB, we encourage everyone to be part of at least one LifeGroup.

LifeGroups are typically offered in semesters, starting in the spring and fall. LifeGroups continue meeting year-round, just because they enjoy each other’s company so much.

To find specific groups, please visit our Lifegroup search.

CBCB Kidsmin is the name of our Children’s Ministry and is led by a team of staff and volunteers whose passion is children and whose vision is to connect kiddos to God and to others! Our goal is to provide a fun and interactive program tailored just for kids, no matter what age or grade to help them know Jesus and grow spiritually as they build meaningful relationships with other children and adults.

What to Expect

Our weekend services are designed with children in mind! Each child is taught in an age-appropriate environment. From Nursery to 5th grade, our desire is to see each child cared for in an individual way. Volunteers have been carefully screened to work with your child. From loving care in the Nursery to energetic fun in the Clubhouse, your child will be cared for and taught God’s Word in a safe, loving, and encouraging environment.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14 New International Version (NIV)

Mission Statement

Equipping kids to know, grow, and show God’s love by:

Knowing God and His Word
Involving in friendship and fellowship
Developing ministry gifts
Serving in the church and community

Our Mission—To meet children at their level of development, to teach them the love of Christ and the joy of His forgiveness and salvation, to help them learn the truth of His Word and to encourage their growth within the body of believers.

Our Vision for Children—that they will know Christ, understand His Word, grow in their own spiritual walk, and be able to share the love of Christ with others.

Worship of the one true God is a passion of all those who serve Him and who are enamored by His many mercies. Our great privilege as worship leaders is to express gratefulness and loving kindness that we receive from the Lord in song. Congregational worship is a great opportunity for believers to express their love for God as it mirrors the “assembly” of believers as found in Psalm 111. When our lives are filled with the greatness and joy of the Spirit, we cannot help but praise Him! What better way than in the assembly of like-minded believers!

Worship involves a balance of intellect, emotion and will. Intellect in the understanding of the character of God in what He has done and what He is. Emotional involvement by expressing God’s faithfulness, power, majesty and wisdom. Lastly, submitting our will by placing ourselves under his Lordship and purposes (Cutter, 1986).

If your heart seeks to partner with the worship team, there are many opportunities available. From media support, sound team and stage set-up, to singing and/or playing an instrument, there is a place for you to serve! If you are interested, please let us hear from you.

At CBCB we take seriously our mandate to reach, teach, and help people in Jesus’ name. As a local church, there are ministries that we do well. There are equally compelling ministries that others in the body of Christ can perform more effectively than we can, but we can support them in their efforts. We encourage and support our individual members as they seek out ministry and mission opportunities locally and globally.

We are the first people who arrive to setup for church. We are the people that assist with parking and wave at you as you drive into the parking lot. We are the friendly, smiling people greeting you at the door as you enter the building and sanctuary. We are the folks who do our best to find you and your family a seat in the sanctuary and help serve communion. We are the people who can share information with you about our Church and even escort you to your destination. We are the wonderful people who offer you coffee, snacks and food with a smile. We are the detailed minds who count each guest. We are the people available to provide first aid and respond to a medical emergency. We are the last people to leave after packing up our gear. We are the first impression but lasting impact to each guest!

Special Needs Ministry-Related Form Downloads

The heart of the Special Needs Ministry at CBCB is based on Jesus’ love for His children. All are welcome in our ministry. We offer a safe and fun place designed for all levels of needs. This allows the child’s parents/family time to worship while they spend their own special time with God. If needed, each attendee can be assigned his/her own buddy for the day. Our prayer is that each child will leave knowing Christ’s love while each family leaves knowing that there is a church home that will support and nurture each individual. We pray for spiritual growth for everyone. This includes allowing the parents of the special needs child to grow in Christ through worship and the hearing of the word of God with the knowledge that their child is being take care of in a safe and fun environment.

First time visitors should contact our Special Needs Ministry Coordinator, Kaila Berry using the link above, or call 318-525-8775 to let us prepare in advance for additional staffing or your family’s specific needs. Upon arrival to the church, please check in at the Connection Center. A ministry volunteer will meet you and take the child into the clubhouse or approved KidsMin class for the remainder of the service.

If you are new to our program, please print the forms noted above, fill them out and bring them with you to church. We offer special needs services at ALL of our services, however, the family MUST notify Kaila Berry of which service their loved one will be attending by noon on WEDNESDAY prior to the weekend for appropriate arrangements and staff scheduling.

Accept the call. Come and see what God is doing for His children. Come and witness His love.
