I saw an interesting post on Facebook this week. My friend Phil Vega asked: “if hurt people hurt people, what should healed people do?” It really struck me. If we have been healed – we should heal, if we’ve been helped, accepted, loved, forgiven, invited, encouraged – we should pour those things into the lives of the people around us. Imagine a world where each of us reinvests all the good things that have been invested in us by our friends, family, savior. Isn’t that what it means to “serve at church?”. Thanks to all of you who selflessly, continuously pour into the people around you what Jesus has poured into you.
A couple of quick announcements:
-Sign up today for our kids fine arts camp June 19-22. Learn Keyboard, guitar, art. Info – contact Lee Towell @ email@example.com
– Our foster/adopt support ministry is officially up! I can’t wait to see how God is going to use CBCB to love and care for his precious kids. If you missed our first meeting, but want to be included in future emails, etc – just send contact info to: Jenn Manton firstname.lastname@example.org
– You guys are amazing! We raised $3000 for the Bulverde Spring Branch Pregnancy Care Center through change in BABY BOTTLES! Thanks to Carla Clark for overseeing that effort. If you still have a bottle at your house PLEASE bring those to church THIS weekend.
– This is a fallen world. It’s hard to believe the terror that groups like ISIS can inspire. We don’t need to be afraid, but we should be prepared. CBCB will be hosting a “live shooter class” on June 28. It’s mostly instruction on what to do to keep yourself safe in the “unthinkable” situation. For info, check out the attached flier.
Summer is coming, and it will blow by in a heartbeat. This week we’ll be explaining our ThreeForYou program to be sure we all make the most of the next 3 months. You will only have one summer at your current age. Your kids will never be this age again. Let’s make the most of this summer! #34U.
See you this weekend at CBCB!
