REMEMBER THIS WEEK-END is the end of Daylight Savings Time …… it’s time to “FALL BACK” 1 hour!

Also, this Sunday after the second service we will have Connection 101.  If you’ve ever wanted to know more about CBCB, meet our leadership and possibly consider membership, please plan to join us at 12:45 for lunch and a brief meeting.  Please RSVP HERE for lunch and childcare if needed.

The holidays are quickly approaching!  Here are some opportunities for you to give:

  1. Operation Christmas Child (OCC) – there will be a table out in the lobby this week-end and next to pick up your “Christmas box”.  OCC is sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse and it’s an outreach to children all over the world.  Instructions for the boxes are inside each box.
  2. Annual Sleeping Bag drive – At the end of November, we will have our annual Sleeping Bag drive where you will be able to purchase a sleeping bag that will be given to someone from Church Under the Bridge (CUB) so they can stay warm this winter.  Just another way we can show the love of Jesus in a “real” way.

MENTOR’s NEEDED:

As many of you are aware, SJRC (formerly St. Jude’s Ranch for Children) cares for children and families who have been affected by trauma, abuse and neglect.  SJRC is a safe haven that offers help and hope to these precious ones to begin the journey of healing.  This week-end there will be a table set up in the lobby if you would like to be a mentor for one of these precious lives.  The SJRC in Bulverde (kids) needs 11 mentors; the SJRC in New Braunfels needs 6 mentors.  The New Braunfels location is for those teens who are either parenting, pregnant or were sex-trafficked.  All that is required is for you to spend a minimum of 3 hours each week with your teen, text them, etc.   Come by the table this week-end to sign up and next weekend we will meet in a portable to complete your paperwork and have it notarized (notary will be on site).

I’m looking forward to seeing you this weekend!
