I’m so excited to hear how many of you are reading the New Testament with us! If you haven’t started yet, it’s NOT too late. Attached is a copy of the reading schedule. It’s also easy to set up the “24 week New Testament” reading plan online at BibleGateway.com – you can read directly from your device. I listened to mine today on my rowing machine! It can even send you an email reminder everyday! Remember to ask yourself: What does it say? What does it mean? What does it mean to me?
A couple of important events to put on your calendar:
CONNECTION 101 – 11:45 Sunday, Feb 4th. This lunch is for you if you are thinking about membership at CBCB, or if you just want to know more about what the church is all about and how YOU can get plugged in. Childcare and lunch are provided. Just sign up on your connection card this weekend, or reply to this email. I’d love to see you at Connection 101.
VOLUNTEERS are the driving force behind the ministry of CBCB. God uses our volunteers in so many ways to reach, teach and help people in Jesus’ name. If you volunteer in ANY capacity – please mark your calendars for the evening of February 11. We will have an event to honor, and appreciate our volunteers. PLEASE plan to come and relax, and eat and have fun, and be reminded of how amazing you are, and how amazing it is that God has chosen US to do his work through. Been wanting to get plugged into volunteering? Reply to this email or check “volunteering” on your connection card this weekend. We’ll call you, and help you find the perfect spot!
One more thing: when was the last time you invited someone to church? Most of us wont get the opportunity to preach, or write a book, or become a missionary – but everyone of us can invite a friend to church. I once read that 80% of non-church goers indicated they WOULD go, if someone would invite them. Picture your circle of influence and ask yourself: what if that’s true?
See you this weekend at CBCB!
