What an amazing time at CBCB! God is opening more and more doors for us to do what CBCB was created to do: Reach, Teach and Help people in Jesus’ name. I hope you will find a way to plug in and get the teaching and help YOU need – and/or find your place to help in this amazing, important, rewarding, fun endeavor. Need help getting connected? Reply to this email, and I will try to help you.
Meanwhile, here are a few things YOU need to know:
-Water baptism is scheduled for Jan 21/22. Reply to this email, or sign up on your connection card this weekend. Got an elementary aged kid who MAY be ready for baptism? Bring them to the baptism class in Portable building #2 THIS Sunday at 9 am.
Connection 101 Feb 4th at 12:30 pm in Portable #1. Everything you want to know about where CBCB came from, where we are headed, where YOU fit in. Whether you are thinking about membership, or just want to know “what this church is all about” – join us. Sign up on your connection card this weekend, or reply to this email. Lunch and childcare provided.
Explore God begins next week Find info and a perfect discussion group in your neighborhood at mycbcb.com, or exploreGod.com, or grab a list this weekend in church. We’ve all got questions. Let’s talk about them. Invite someone to come with you!
Please pray with me about a couple of ministries that I believe God is calling CBCB to get into: a ministry to the elderly, and a support group for caregivers. Details coming, but pray for God’s leading, and how YOU might benefit or help.
Anger: Handling a Powerful Emotion in a Healthy Way. Do you, or someone you know struggle with anger? – This 13 week class is about changing the way you think and process anger to make it an effective tool in your life instead of a destructive enemy.
Whether you keep all your anger inside of you, or display it in ways you wish you hadn’t. Getting angry is easy. Daily irritations, frustrations, and pain poke at us. Feelings of disappointment, hurt, rejection, and embarrassment prod in us. And once the unwieldy cluster of emotions of anger are aroused, our thoughts and actions can feel out of control and impossible to manage.
Contact Dawn: firstname.lastname@example.org or 210-464-2088 for more info, or to sign up for the class beginning January 25th (Wednesday evenings 6:30PM – 8:00PM)
It’s communion weekend, I can’t wait to celebrate Jesus with YOU!
