Christmas is so much about family. Today I am so thankful for my family, and so excited about spending Christmas morning with my kids and their kids. Like you, we’ve got our special traditions and I can already smell the smells, and hear the sounds, and see the sights – of family. From cookies baking, to wrapping paper tearing, to kids falling off brand new bikes in their pajamas – the sights and sounds and even smells of Christmas remind me of all we have to be thankful for.
ESPECIALLY this time of year – I feel so blessed and thankful to be a part of God’sFAMILY. How incredible to have a perfect Father. How amazing that he sent his son to make US his sons and daughters. How awesome it is to be part of God’s great big family, and be able to love our “cousins” in other congregations, other denominations, even other continents.
It’s amazing to be a part of the worldwide family of God. And to me, it’s really amazing to get to be part of such an incredible immediate family at CBCB. I am so blessed to have you as my brothers and sisters. We help each other, we love each other. We struggle together, we grow together, we serve God and his family; we give and go and do – together.
Today I’m praying for all in our church family for whom Christmas is a difficult time. That the love of our Father, and of your brothers and sisters will help you get through this season, and even experience some of the Father’s love and peace and joy. If you are struggling, please know that – as your family – we are here for you. As your brother, I’d be happy to talk to you, pray with you, help in any way I can, or help you find the help you need to experience His love and peace and even joy. Just call (830)228-5654, or reply to this email.
I’m also praying a prayer of thanks. For all the good and perfect gifts our father blesses us with and especially that he’s made us – family. Im so thankful that you are part of our family. I’m praying that you will experience, in a new way this Christmas – the love, and peace and joy of being a child of God.
